The T-Town Wheelers was organized by Frank "Buzz" Sawyer in a garage meeting sometime in 1994. There isn't any proof of the exact date and time that we know of, however the first newsletter of late July or early August, 1994 tells how 21 collectors meeting for their first organized meeting agreed on naming the organization "Mid America Hot Wheels Club". (The name later changed to "T-Town Wheelers" for legal reasons.)
Concise infrequent newsletters were mailed to the membership every month or two for several months. Part of the original membership was comprised of Buzz Sawyer, David Smith, David Rutledge, Jerry Carroll, Lea Knight, Ken Pruitt and Glen Rossi.

Sometimes no news is good news, however, if you happen to collect Hot Wheels and you don't hear when and where cases are getting dropped that's bad news. If you have news about anything new hitting the scene please let us know! |
